HSR Training

A Health and Safety Representative (HSR) provides voice for workers in relation to health and safety matters. They support worker engagement and have the power to issue PINs and cease unsafe work when necessary.

In order for an HSR to use their functions and powers they must undergo formal HSR training. Working Wise has partnered with WorkSafe Reps to provide all stages of HSR training. Working Wise offers face-to-face training & blended online courses for general and in house groups regularly throughout the year.

Our next course availability:

April 30 – May 1 2024

June 26 – 27 2024.

Contact us today for more information on training courses for your workers to become qualified HSRs.

Do you have a spare $3,000,000? That’s how much you could be fined for a single charge under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015. The Act also has liabilities for Directors and Managers, including prison sentences of up to 5 years.

Good workplace health and safety is an investment in business. It creates better productivity and reliability, and better staff engagement. Not only does good health and safety make good business sense, it’s the right thing to do. Workers and their families have the right to expect they will return home safe from work every day.

Health & Safety in SME

Health and safety is essential in every business, particularly small to medium sized businesses. Evidence suggests that SMEs are less safe than larger businesses and often undervalue the importance of good health and safety practices. Like any other business system health and safety is an active daily process to keep your workplace operational, build resilience in your workforce which may reduce the likelihood of a major incident. This is important for smaller companies, as they may find it hard to recover from serious health and safety incidents as they are costly and a reputational risk.
